Ismail Zakwan Shihad has been crowned champion of EAFC at the Dhiraagu Gaming Conquest 2025.
The 22-year-old defeated Hussain Yaish 5-2 in the final last night.
For the final game, both Zakwan and Yaish had selected Real Madrid – Yaish as the home side.
Zakwan scored two goals early on in the first half. But despite the scare after Yaish scored to narrow the lead, Zakwan maintained his composure and widened the gap after halftime. Yaish managed to pull one back but Zakwan then scored three goals in succession – the last one an Mbappe overhead kick just before the final whistle.

The new EAFC champion of Maldives is currently on semester break from his studies in Scotland; Zakwan is a Manchester City fan, and a Finance student at the University of Edinburgh.
But even before he moved abroad, Zakwan was a regular competitor at local tournaments – he had achieved second place in a tournament hosted at Club 360 during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the previous season, when FC24 was played, Zaku partnered up with a friend for a 2v2 competition, and won first place.
The new EA FC champion considers this the crowning moment of his journey as an esports player. Reflecting on the hectic three-day tournament that led him to glory, Zakwan stated that “Moments fade. Trophies don’t.”
At the DMGC 2025, besides Zakwan and Yaish, the EAFC prize money went to the 2nd and 3rd runner-ups.
The second runner-up in the EAFC competition was secured by another legend of the game – Mohamed Aiman Ahmed, also known as Panda. Mohamed Zayan Ismail completed the list of top four EAFC players in the Maldives
