Victory defeats Biss Buru to make it three wins in four games

Victory Sports Club has defeated Biss Buru Sports Club 3-0 in this evening’s game of Dhivehi Premier League 2026/27.

With the win over Biss Buru, Victory remain unbeaten in the league under Mohamed Shiyaz (Mohan) this season, earning their third win in four games.

With an assist from Al Haji Gero, Victory SC opened the lead via Ahmed Rizuvan in the 27th minute.

Having just one goal separating the two sides at half-time, Victory ramped up their attack to start the second half, scoring twice in the first ten minutes.

Victory’s winger Kholmatov Ravshanbek Ugli extended the lead to 2-0 in the third minute of the second half, beating Biss Buru goalie Peter Sarkodie to the ball and heading it in.

Third goal of the match and the fourteenth goal of the league season for Victory came in the 55th minute, as Hassan Nazeem dribbled into the area from the right flank before crossing it for Victory’s number-nine Al Haji Gero to tap it in from the far post.

Victory played over thirty minutes of the remainder with ten men on the field, after center-back Hisham Saleem was sent off with a straight red card following scuffle with a Biss Buru’s Ali Shaihaan Naseem.

As Biss Buru looked to break open the Victory goal, the rest of the second half was played under a heavy storm. Victory ended up keeping the clean sheet intact.

Victory climb to top of the table, overtaking Club Eagles who are at nine points with a game in hand. Eagles will play the last game of the week against Dhidhdhoo on Friday evening.

Two games are scheduled for Thursday: Maziya Sports and Recreation will seek to restore their winning form against TC Sports Club in the evening.

New Radiant, who are unbeaten in the league, will take on Odi Sports Club on Thursday night.
