Odi Sports have defeated Buru Sports 2-1 in this evening’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League, continuing the unbeaten start to their debut season.
Odi had previously won the three opening games of the season, keeping up with New Radiant and Maziya Sports and Recreation in the race for the top spot in the table. While the latter two won their fourth consecutive games, Odi drew with Club Eagles last week in a goalless game.
Buru SC were the first to score this evening, with a goal from Mohamed Naaim in the 36th minute, assisted by a cross from Ibrahim Usaama.
Two of the Odi goals came in the opposite ends of the second half. Odi got the equalizer just three minutes into the second half, as Abdhullah Looth headed in a corner-kick by Ahmed Aiham.
The comeback was completed in the last minute of normal time, as Muzdhan Hassan struck a lowball from inside the D-area, having assisted by Ahuzam Rasheed.
Odi is now in 2nd place behind Maziya. New Radiant sits at third with a game in hand.
