First National Netball League concluded as Club Matrix wins the title

The Netball Association of Maldives (NAM) has successfully concluded the National Netball League, with Club Matrix crowned as champions.

Matches of the final game week were played on Saturday. In the first match, runner-ups Club Green Streets defeated Kulhudhuffushi Youth Recreation Club (KYRC) 66–53. The player of the match was Green Streets’ GA, Layaan Ali Rasheed.

In the second match of the day, MV Netters secured a 58–36 win over N Sports Academy. The player of the match was MV Netters’ GA, Fathimath Zaahee Ziyadullah.

Even before the final match of the league, Club Matrix had already confirmed the championship.

In the final match, Matrix recorded a dominant 99–14 victory over SC Shining Stars. The player of the match was Matrix GD, Aiminath Firusha.

Matrix secured the league title after winning all five of their matches and earning 15 points. Their closest challengers, Club Green Streets, won four out of five matches and finished with 12 points.

The Netball Association of Maldives will next begin the Second Division tournament, which is scheduled to start on the 17th of this month.
