Club WAMCO once again proved their dominance in women’s volleyball, securing their fifth consecutive VAM Cup title with a commanding win over long-time rivals Police Club in last night’s final.
WAMCO took the match in straight sets—25-20, 25-19, 25-19—extending a streak that dates back to 2019, during which they have defeated Police Club in every final. The only exception to their clean sweep came in 2024, when Police managed to take a set.

The win was marked by standout performances, most notably from Aishath Majidha, who was named Player of the Tournament for a fourth straight year. She also took home the Best Outside Attacker award, sharing the honor with Police Club’s Aminath Areesha.
WAMCO’s dominance was further reflected in the Dream Team selections. Three of Majidha’s teammates made the cut:
Nareema Idrees as Best Middle Blocker
Nuha Waheed as Best Libero
Fathmath Joozan Zareer as Best Setter, defending her position from last year
Pattiya Juangjan, also of WAMCO, was named Player of the Match in the final. Head coach Ahmed Adheel received the Best Coach award.
Police Club had two players included in the Dream Team:
Hawwa Rashidha retained her spot as Best Opposite Player
Mariyam Azuma repeated as Best Middle Blocker
Aishath Dheema Nadheem of Huraa CC, who helped her team to a bronze-medal finish, was named Promising Player of the Tournament.
Eight teams participated in this year’s tournament, split into two groups. Except for the bottom-placed teams in each group, all clubs have qualified for the upcoming National Volleyball League.
