Talons Basketball Club has been cleared to compete in the 29th MBA Championship 2025 following a successful appeal to the Maldives Basketball Association (MBA) Appeal Committee.

The decision cuts short the club’s suspension by a year, allowing them to participate in the upcoming season of the MBA Championship. Talons was suspended for two years on January 17th last year, after the club opted out of the league despite being promoted to the first division.

The MBA ExCo Committee reached the verdict to overturn the suspension after reviewing the facts and findings presented by the Appeal Committee. Following a thorough assessment, the governing body ruled in favor of Talons BC, reinstating their eligibility to compete in the prestigious tournament.

This reversal marks a significant moment for the club, which had been sidelined due to the initial suspension. With their participation now confirmed, Talons BC can focus on preparing for the championship as they look to make a strong impact on the court.

The 29th MBA Championship 2025 is set to feature intense competition, and Talons BC’s return adds further excitement to the scene.
