Nibal Ahmed, one of the most talented badminton players in the Maldives, has joined Revival Sports Club.
Nibal, 21, who is part of the national badminton team, joined Revival on a four-year contract. He was named Maldives’ best badminton player at the Maldives Sports Awards last year
Hassan Zayan, who is in the national squad, has also moved to Revival.
Nibal, who won the national championship in 2022, won a bronze medal in the singles event of the Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) in Madagascar last year. He was also part of the team that won silver and bronze medals at the last two IOIGs.
He received the Paris Olympic scholarship from the Maldives Olympic Committee and has also trained abroad.
