Two years after making her international debut in Bolzano, Italy, Laiba Ahmed Mahloof returned to the same city this week, to deliver her best international result yet — winning two bronze medals at the 2025 Bozen Spring – International Spring Tournament.

Competing against over 330 players from 20 countries, Laiba shone in both the Girls’ Doubles and Mixed Doubles events. Partnering with Marie from Germany in Doubles and Matic from Slovenia in Mixed Doubles, she advanced to the semifinals in both categories. Though both campaigns ended with tight semifinal defeats against eventual champions from Switzerland, Laiba’s efforts earned her two podium finishes — a remarkable milestone in her young career.

In Singles, Laiba impressed in the group stages with dominant performances to reach the quarterfinals, where she eventually fell to Switzerland’s top U13 player. It marked her deepest Singles run at an international event so far, showing significant growth since her debut.
