The final preparations for this year’s Eid Baibalaa Challenge are taking place; a new, state-of-the-art ring has been constructed at Hulhumale’ central park.

The Challenge is scheduled in a single knockout format and will start on 1st April, this Tuesday night. The initial round will feature 26 teams; Club Wanted, Teenage Juniors, and Zeppo have received a bye into the round of sixteen.

Last year’s finalists Buru SC and Club Kaasinjee both are returning to the ring on Tuesday night’s games. The opening match of the challenge, starting at 20:30pm, will see Buru versus TFT, while Club Kaasinjee takes on Teenage Veterans at 21:30pm.

The Baibalaa Association of Maldives has been immensely preparing for this year’s challenge; heavily investing in stadium infrastructure and equipment. This year’s Baibalaa ring will accommodate hundreds of spectators, and will feature a wide-screen viewing from the ring.
