Club Kaasinjee has knocked out BG Sports Club in tiebreaker in the third quarterfinal of Eid Baibalaa Challenge 1446.
Last year’s runner-up Club Kaasinjee were the ones to win the first game; CK players entered the ring to target BG’s key players, starting from Hante and Mirusaal and Kuda Muaa. One after the other, CK escaped the grip of BG until the game ended in 7-6.
CK were the ones to start scoring in the second round as well. BG made the best of their expertise to turn the game around. With three minutes and 25 seconds remaining, BG made it 6-5, taking the game into the tiebreaker.
The round started with CK’s Toobe versus BG’s Mirusaal. Mirusaal made the touchdown on the outside of the ring despite being cut down, with 3.69 seconds left.
Next, CK selected Hamdhu to enter the ring against Shiruhaan of BG. Shiruhaan grabbed Hamdhu by one leg, tackling him down, but the CK player managed to make the touchdown.
It all came to a confrontation between Ahmed Mohamed (Ammadey) of Kaasinjee and Hassan Mahir (Hantey) of BG Sports Club. Ammadey managed to tag Hantey and escape unscathed, effectively securing Kaasinjee a spot in the semifinal.
Club Kaasinjee will face TFT in the semifinal tomorrow night.
