Odi Sports Club has built on their unbeaten momentum with a hard-fought win over TC Sports Club.
The one goal that separated the two sides, came in the 65th minute, as Ahuzam Rasheed finished it off from the penalty spot. The Odi captain earned the penalty himself, having brought down by the TC goalkeeper Shahidh Vishaal.
Odi had been playing with one man down for the entire second half – Ali Aiham was shown a straight red card following his assault on a TC player in the 45+1st minute.
Despite that, Odi held on to the clean sheet, and went on to earn the three points. Ahuzam went on to win Man of the Match, and TC Sports Club are all but out of the competition.
This was the tenth goal in three games for Odi. They are unbeaten with two wins and a draw. The remainder of the fixtures will see Odi go against Maziya SR and Buru SC.
