Odi Sports Club’s U19 team have built on their momentum by thrashing Keyodhoo 8-0 in tonight’s match of the FAM Youth Championship 2026.

Odi, who started their campaign with a draw over New Radiant Sports Club, earned their first win tonight as their winger Hussain Shuhaadh Suhan starred with a whopping five goals to his name.

The debutants Keyodhoo who scoured a win against Buru SC in the opening game, struggled to keep their defense intact as Odi scored seven goals before half-time.

Keyodhoo’s defense was first broken through in the eighth minute, as Ali Aiham scored the opener. The second, third and fourth goals were scored by Suhadh, Aiham and Abdhulla Rizan Mohamed, respectively.

Suhadh went on to score a hat-trick in nine minutes, finding the net at 36th, 39th, and the 45th minute of the game. He went on to score his fifth after 20 minutes of second half, the only goal seen after half-time.

This was Suhaadh’s sixth goal of the championship – his equalizer kept Odi afloat with a 1-1 draw against New Radiant in the opening fixture. With his goal-fest against Keyodhoo, Suhaadh has overtaken Maziya’s Ilan Imran (4) in the race for the top scorer.

Odi Sports Club had a remarkable debut tournament last year’s U19 championship, and made it to the semifinals, undefeated in a five-team group. They were knocked out at the hands of Maziya, who went on to claim the championship title.

Following the second round of fixtures this championship, Maziya leads the table with four points and eight goals in advantage. Odi are tied on points at second place.

New Radiant are yet to be defeated but are in fifth position having drawn both games, while Buru claims third place with the win over TC Sports Club. Keyodhoo are in fourth position, having earned three points over Buru in the opening game.

TC Sports Club remains stuck at bottom having suffered two heavy defeats.
