Maziya have won last night’s game against Buru Sports Club by 2-0, as substitute Benjamin Thomas Kuku scored a brace to claim the three points.

Prior to this game week, Buru Sports Club had earned their first three points of the season against Gadhdhoo Sports earlier this October. They came to face Maziya after a break of thirteen days, having had their game against New Radiant postponed from last week.

With last night’s win, Maziya continues to build on their winning momentum, having defeated TC Sports Club and Biss Buru in recent weeks.

Kuku, who came on as a substitute just past the hour mark, fired in a rebound with his very first touch on the ball. His second goal came 16 minutes later; with an assist from Ibrahim Mahudhee Hassan on the counter, Kuku made a solo run on the right flank and struck a powerful shot from the edge of the six-yard box to give Maziya the two-goal lead.

Buru Sports Club remains in ninth place, while Maziya climbs to second place with thirteen points from six games, as the Dhivehi Premier League 2026/27 season pauses ahead of the international break.
