The Maldives national mixed relay team has achieved a podium finish in Chandigarh city, India, winning third place in the 4x100m mixed relay event at the 1st International Invitational Relay competition.

The team consisted of Ahunaf Rayya, Hassan Saaidh, Ziva Moosa, and Ahna Nizaar. Crossing the finish line at 44.53 seconds on the clock, Maldives achieved third place, 2.19 seconds behind the second-placed team. Both the gold and silver medals were taken by Indian relay teams.

Maldives competed at the 4x100m event this morning as well. The team included Hussain Zeek Suadh, Adam Riffath, Layana Mohamed and Hawwa Muzna Faiz. Team Maldives finished sixth out of the eight teams, with an elapsed of 3:45.81 (3 minutes, 45 seconds and 810 milliseconds).
