Club Valencia and Maziya SR both earned three points each in today’s FAM U19 Youth Championship games.

After the painful defeat at the hands of Club Eagles earlier this week, Club Valencia revived their hopes for a spot in the semifinals, defeating Club Green Streets 5-0 this evening.

Valencia started the championship with a 2-0 win over Buru Sports but was defeated by Club Eagles after conceding a goal in the final ten minutes of Wednesday night’s game.

Today’s big win puts Club Valencia on a +6 goal advantage as they prepare for the final game of the group stage.

With tonight’s 5-2 win over Buru Sports Club, Maziya Sports and Recreation became the first team from Group A to book a spot in the semifinals. The Green Boys have kept two clean sheets and scored 14 goals in three games.

The fate of Group A will be decided on Monday, as Club Eagles takes on Green Streets in the evening game. Monday night’s game – Club Valencia versus Maziya SR, will decide the top and second spots of the groups. Club Eagles and Club Valencia both need to win their respective games for a chance to book a spot in the semis.

Two of Group B games are set for tomorrow:

  • Odi Sports Club vs Super United Sports – 16:00
  • Victory Sports Club vs TC Sports Club – 20:30
