Victory climbs to fifth as early goal from Nasooh wins it against TC

Victory Sports Club has secured a second win of the season after defeating TC Sports Club in tonight’s DDPL game.

A goal by Ali Nasooh in the fourth minute of the game decided the score, despite the game extending to the 100-minute mark.

This was Victory SC’s second win in five games since returning to the Dhivehi Premier League. They have now climbed to fifth position in the table, with six points. Victory is just one point below the top four. Fourth-placed Buru Sports Club, with seven points, was held back earlier this evening by Odi SC, as the latter climbed to the second position.

Victory’s other win was in Game Week 2, as they defeated Green Streets 1-0 with a last minute freekick from Abdhullah Midhuhath Fahmy. They had faced tonight’s game on the back of a humiliating defeat in game week four against archrivals New Radiant SC.
