Aminath Vidhaadh is crowned champion of the women’s singles division in the national carrom championship.

Defeating her national teammate Aishath Nahufa 2-1 in the final last night, Vidhaadh breaks the national record as she won the title for a record seventh time.

Having lost the first game of the final by 17-24, Vidhaadh made a comeback, winning the second and third games by huge margins: 11-21 and 8-25 respectively.

One of the ten highest-ranked female carrom players in the world, Vidhaadh led the women’s national carrom team to a bronze medal in the team event of the Carrom World Cup in California, USA, last November.
