The first week of Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League was wrapped up yesterday, as Odi Sports Club and Valencia both grabbed three points.

The newly promoted Odi SC won the evening match 4-0 against United Victory. Four different players got on the score sheet as Abdhullah Looth, Ibrahim Waheed, Ahuzam Rasheed, and substitute Muzdhan Hassan gave Odi a solid goal-difference along with the three points.

Odi SC had made multiple blockbuster transfers during the 18 months since they were promoted to the DPL. It was one of the most exciting moves of the transfer window, Ibrahim Waheed, who took home the MOTM trophy yesterday evening. The national team winger had made the move from Maziya SR when Odi was confirmed a spot in the DPL.

The final game of the week saw the promising squad of Club Valencia return to the DPL. Valencia defeated Club Green Streets. Valencia got the three points under the captaincy of sixteen-year-old Ethan Zaki. Nobody else in history had captained a first-division club at a younger age than Ethan.

Both Valencia and Odi SC are now equal on points with Buru SC, New Radiant SC, and Maziya SR, all of whom finished the opening week with a win. New Radiant sits at the top of the table with a six-goal advantage.
