A newly developed basketball training centre in Maafannu Kulhivaru Ekuveni has been unveiled by the Minister of Youth Fitness and Recreation, Abdhulla Rafiu.
An unveiling ceremony was held last night to mark the opening of the training court to public. The training centre was developed by the government for the purpose of “helping the teams and players immensely to achieve new heights”, according to the Sports Ministry.
An exhibition match was played between the women’s senior national team and the U15 national team.
Guided by a vision to nurture talent at every level, the center is set to become the home of champions and a beacon of hope for basketball’s future in the Maldives.
