Maziya Sports and Recreation has won its third consecutive game of the season, defeating Buru Sports 3-0 in last night’s game of Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.
Maziya opened the scoring in the 33rd minute. Hamza Mohamed struck from the edge of the box, assisted by Hassan Naiz. The second goal came seven minutes later, as Naiz extended his lead on the top scorer leaderboard. Assisted by Ibrahim Aisham, Naiz fired in from inside the D-area.
Aisham himself got himself on the scoresheet in the thirteenth minute of the second half – the left-footed midfielder curled in a free kick from the right wing.
This was Maziya’s eleventh goal of the season. They had conceded just one goal in three games. The Green Boys are currently on top of the DDPL point table.
Maziya had delivered the same scoreline in the previous game week, defeating TC Sports Club 3-0. They started the season with a 5-1 victory over archrivals Club Eagles.
