New Radiant Sports Club has defeated newcomer Odi Sports Club for the very first time, as the Blues make it to the semifinals of the FA Cup.
New Radiant, who are regarded as the kings of the FA Cup, have won it a record twelve times over the years.
With a sixty-minute hattrick from Ali Fasir and a goal from Al Haji Gero, New Radiant delivered one of the biggest upsets of the season for the debutants Odi.
Fasir opened the scoring with a 20-minute freekick.
Sentey, who is now the highest scorer of the season across all competitions, went on to score in the 20th minute and the 61st minute, courtesy of assists from Yaya Billity and Ibrahim Maisaan.
Al Haji delivered the final blow to Odi, with an 85th minute strike, assisted by Guilherme Da Silva.
The FA Cup kicked off this evening with a clash between third-tier Blue SC and Club Eagles of the DPL. The game had to be decided on penalties after a thrilling ninety-minutes ended with two goals each.
The newly formed Blue SC won the shootout 4:3 to reach the semifinals.
