The second night of Eid Baibalaa Challenge 1446 has wrapped up after a thrilling blitz of seven games.
As of tonight, thirteen teams have been eliminated, and the round of sixteen fixtures have been decided.
The first match—Club SDZ versus Odi Titans—took a twist when SDZ, who were playing from outside the ring, turned the game around with less than a minute on the clock. The game ended 10-8. SDZ also went on to win the second round by 19-3, comfortably tagging all Odi Titans players.
In the second game of the night, Kuda Henveyru Lions started from inside the ring, and defeated Eagles in EC by 8-12 in the first round. Although the second round of the game ended in a 7-7 tie, Kuda Henveyru Lions advanced to the round of sixteen.
Lorenzo versus VK Sports Club was decided on a tiebreaker, after Lorenzo won the first round (11-5) and VK won the second (7-9). Lorenzo Hyenas were also eliminated tonight, having defeated by four-time champions Club Teenage.
Tonight was a good night for the two teams of TC. In the third match, Teenage Veterans were knocked out by TC Sports Club in two straight games. TC started the game from the outside and won the first round by 6-7. TC were even stronger from inside the ring, bringing down all of Teenage players and winning the round by 17-3.
Their second team TC Fraternity ended the night with two straight wins over Hahha Vaikanmathi. Fraternity won the games by 8-7 and 4-15.
But perhaps the most thrilling showdown was between Odi SC versus BG Sports Club. BG won the first game with 3 minutes left on the clock, tagging all of TC players and ending the game by 5-7. BG managed to tackle down all of TC players with two minutes left in the second round.
Eid Baibalaa Challenge 1446 features 29 participants. As of tonight 26 teams have appeared on the ring, and 13 teams have been knocked out. Three teams – Club Wanted, Teenage Juniors, and Zeppo – are yet to play. The three teams had received a bye into the round of sixteen.
