Victory Sports Club have claimed a sixth win in seven games of the league, defeating Odi Sports Club 2-0 in Saturday night’s game.
Both of Victory’s goals were scored by Ahmed Rizyvan, who have now scored seven goals this DPL season.
Rizey’s first goal was assisted by a cross from Uzbekistan midfielder Mirjalol Kasimov in the 21st minute. His second goal, assisted by captain Hassan Naiz, was a diagonal long shot from outside the corner of the penalty box, which flew into the far corner of the net.
Alongside New Radiant, Victory is one of two clubs to remain undefeated this DPL season. Victory remains five points above New Radiant, the latter having played one less game.
With last week’s game between New Radiant and Odi Sports Club postponed due to heavy rainfall, and with Odi now having lost at the hands of Victory, they will face the international break having lost two games, won two games and drawn two games.
