Club Green Streets has managed a remarkable draw against New Radiant Sports Club in this evening’s game of Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.

This evening’s game between the two saw the Blues secure a narrow 2–1 victory over Green Streets.

New Radiant took the lead in the 10th minute through forward Hassan Raif Ahmed (Hanna). Ali Fasir’s shot from outside the box deflected off Green’s defense and rebounded to Mohamed Irufaan (Irey) on the left flank, who squared the ball across the goal for Hanna, who slotted it into the roof of the net.

New Radiant’s second goal came from Brazilian forward Guilhermo Silva. His strike rebounded off the goalkeeper Vishan Abdul Majeed after Ahunaf Rasheed’s effort had forced the save.

Green Streets narrowed the lead early on in the second half, via a strike by El Saeed Mahmoud from the penalty spot, after Yooshau Bin Ali Nasheed was brought down by a tackle from Maisaan.

Green equalized with just three minutes remaining in normal time. The Uzbek forward of CGS put in a rebound ball, which was initially cleared off the goal line.

Although New Radiant suffered a disappointing setback, they are still unbeaten in the DPL this season, the the league pauses for the November international break.

The only other club to remain undefeated are Maziya Sports and Recreation, who now have a four-point edge over the Blues in the race for the title.
