The first event of Dhivehi Surfing League 2025 – Mulikolhu Raalhugandu – has started this morning in Muli, the capital of Meemu Atoll.
The event features 22 surfers in the Men’s Open and 21 athletes in the Men’s Junior Open categories. All the heats are surfed in short board.
Mulikolhu Raalhugandu, organized by Maldives Surfing Association in collaboration with the M.Muli council, is the first event of the Dhivehi Surf League tour. The second event, titled Kerandoo, will be held in the first week of September at L.Maabaidhoo’s Machine surf break. The final event of DSL, Rannamaari Challenge, will be held in Male’ at Varunulaa Raalhugandu in the first week of November.
The Mulikolhu event kicked off early this morning at Muli’s F1 Surf Break, with men’s open heats one to six.

Heat 6 : Najaah Mohamed – 11.34
Ahmed Agil from heat four rode the best wave in round one; Ammadey’s claimed 8.33 points in his fourth wave.
Heat Winners – Junior (U18) Boys, Round One
Heat 1 : Mohamed Inaan Abdhul Hannan – 13.67 points
Heat 2 : Nooh Mohamed Dhunaim Irshad – 9.67 points
Heat 3 : Yasin Ahmed Nashid – 11.00 points
Heat 4 : Yousuf Kayan Hamdhan Zaki – 12.00 points
Heat 5 : Sayyid Salahudheen – 15.33 points
Heat 6 : Kayan Abdhullah Areef – 12.50 points
In heat five, Sayyid Salahudheen scored a whopping 15.33 points – combining his second (8.33) and third (7.00) waves. Sayyid had an astonishing 9.03 point-edge over the second placed Hussain Azaan Ismail.
