New futsal tournament ‘Office League’ to kick off in April

Big Game Maldives, known for its 12-year legacy with the Resort League, is launching a futsal tournament exclusively for office teams. This marks a major step in their effort to expand beyond resort-based sports.

Over the years, the organization has hosted over 50 tournaments nationwide, including the prestigious Resort Super League, where resort champions compete for top honours.

Now, the Office League aims to bring similar excitement to the corporate sector. Scheduled for April 2025 in Malé and Hulhumalé, the tournament features a grand prize of MVR 100,000 and awards for standout individuals.

A spokesperson from Big Game Maldives highlighted the purpose of an office league: “After years of bringing resorts together through sports, we’re excited to extend this experience to the corporate sector. This tournament is all about uniting colleagues and allowing them to break free from work routines and enjoy a thrilling sports festival.”

With a proven record of hosting premier events and a significant prize at stake, the Office League is set to become a defining event for workplace futsal in the Maldives. Registration is open, and notable teams have already expressed interest in participating.
