Starting today, a twenty-minute pause upon every call-to-prayer is being introduced at all sports venues, according to a circular sent by the Sports Ministry to all sports associations.

The prayer break applies to all events, training sessions and tournaments organized by associations, clubs as well as academies, reads the circular.

Although the facilitation of prayer arrangements at sports venues is virtually non-existent at the moment, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu revealed in a recent press  conference, that prayer arrangements at sports venues will be facilitated in the near future.
