STELCO Recreation Club and The Hawks have reached the final of the King’s Cup 2026, following tonight’s semifinals.
STELCO qualified after a penalty shootout, following a 2-2 draw. Hawks made it to the final after a 6-1 thrashing of Eight Four FC.
Courtesy of a hat-trick by Mohamed Saadh Nizaar, Hawks dominated the play throughout the game. Eighty Four were two goals down at halftime, and things only got worse.
Having scored just before halftime, Saadh resumed the scoring in the second minute of second half. A penalty kick from Mohamed Fasir, followed by Saadh completing his hat-trick made it 5-0, before Eight Four pulled a consolation goal.
Hawks’ sixth goal was scored by the foreign player Ulaan Uulu.

In contrast to that game, Cora Cora and STELCO fought in an equal contest.
Cora Cora were the ones to take the lead eight minutes after kickoff, as Ibrahim Anaan tapped in a rebound ball. They widened the lead soon after, as Ashraf fired in from outside the penalty area after beating the goalkeeper.
STELCO pulled one back via Mohamed Vilf, as Cora Cora became cautious with four fouls conceded.
Cora Cora went under more pressure after Shuaidh Saeed equalized for STELCO with just four minutes on the clock.
Things heated up after a goal from Maisaan was disallowed by referee, who declared he had fouled on the STELCO goalkeeper.
In the resulting penalty shootout, STELCO got the initial scare as Cora Cora goalkeeper saved Samaah’s kick. However, Cora Cora missed one as well, and STELCO goalkeeper saved another, paving their path to the final.
