Maldives Surfing Association has stated that the national team will travel to Tamil Nadu a week ahead of the ASF Asian Surfing Championship 2025, to hold training sessions and adapt to the area.

The championship will start on 3 August, but the team will start training sessions on July 29. MSA states that getting used to the waters of Mahabalipuram Point Break in Tamil Nadu will help boost the surfers’ confidence before the championship begins.
