Noonu Atoll futsal championship has reached its final, as capital Manadhoo and Magoodhoo are set to clash tonight at Manadhoo Futsal Ground.

Noonu Atoll Championship had seen just four out of the thirteen inhabited islands – Manadhoo, Maafaru, Lhohi and Magoodhoo – compete in a round-robin league. The winners and the second-placed teams were to qualify for the final.

Manadhoo, who are also the atoll hosts of the championship, reached the final having deafeted Lhohi 2-0 in the opening match last Friday, followed by Tuesday’s triumph over Mafaaru, courtesy of a last-minute goal by Khalaf Ahmed.

Magoodhoo, who were tied with Manadhoo with six points, had won their head-to-head game last Monday, where Saud Mohamed scored the winner. Magoodhoo went on to defeat Lhohi 2-1 to secure their final spot, having lost to Maafaru on opening day.

Both Manadhoo and Magoodhoo have confirmed their spots in the North Regional League. The final is scheduled to kick off at 21:00 tonight.
