With weeks left until their debut in Maldivian top-flight football, Odi Sports Club has officially started its training sessions.
The reigning champions of FAM 2nd Division – formerly known as Masodi Sports Club – had rebranded themselves after being promoted to the first division.
After almost 13 months of hiatus, the club returns to action having further bolstered the squad within the transfer window. New faces on the training ground include national team Vice Captain Hussain Nihaan, Ibrahim Imran (Dimpy) Ahmed Aiham (Aihu), Ahmed Numan (Helmet) and winger Ibrahim Waheed (Ibbe) who joined on loan from Maziya SR.

Odi SC will compete with nine other clubs in the upcoming season of Dhivehi Premier League. The number of clubs in the league had been increased to 10 after the decision not to relegate any clubs from the top division. Alongside Odi SC’s promotion, the return of Victory Sports Club is expected to make the league more competitive than the past few seasons.
