Bandos Maldives made a comeback win to defeat Baros Maldives by 3-1 in the final of Resort League 2024 North Malé Zone.

Bandos had defeated the hosts One and Only Reethi Rah with the same scoreline in the semifinal, after winning against Varu by Atmosphere in the quarterfinals.

Runner-ups Baros Maldives did not have the ideal start to the campaign, having had to face Kurumba Maldives in a play-off to secure a spot in the quarterfinals, which they won by 4 goals to nil.

Team Baros managed to keep clean sheets in the rest of the knockout stages until the final; they managed a comfortable win over Oaga Art Resort in the quarter-final and dominated The Ritz Carlton Maldives in the semifinal game.

Baros scored the opener in the final, but team Bandos turned the game around by putting three past the Baros goal.

This year’s win made Bandos Maldives the five-time champion of Kaafu Zone.

This year’s Resort League Championship kicked off in North Malé Atoll, hosted by One and Only Reethi Rah. Most of the games in the Zone had to be played in heavy rain. Fixtures scheduled for May 22nd had to be rescheduled due to stormy weather.

The league will continue across the Maldives in the upcoming months, with one designated resort from each Atoll exhibiting the respective games. The champion of each atoll will qualify for the Resort Super League.
