Atoll Futsal: Dhuvaafaru gets the upper-hand in ‘Raa Classico’

Dhuvaafaru have defeated Inguraidhoo 3-1 in the final of Raa Atoll Championship, courtesy of a brace from Ibrahim Anaan Ali.

The two sides both secured qualification to the Zone round from the get-go, given no other islands from the Atoll participated.

Dhuvaafaru scored the opener via Mohamed Isaam, who drove the past the goalkeeer and tapped into an empty net.

With an Inguraidhoo cornerkick just before half-time, Ali Haafiz equalized for the aways side.

Dhuvaafaru took the lead back two minutes into the second half, with a strike from Ibrahim Anaan Ali.

Anaan would go on to score for the second time, in the final minute of the game.

Inguraidhoo and Dhuvaafaru moves onto Zone 2 of the North League, and will compete alongside champions and runners-up from Noonu, Baa and Lhaviyani.
