Conrad Maldives Rangali Island are winners of the Resort League Ari zone yet again.
Hosting the Ari Zone games on their home soil – the staff island of Rangali – Conrad Maldives managed to defeat newcomers Barcelo Whale Lagoon in the final.
One of the most decorated teams in the sphere of resort futsal, Conrad Maldives’ win makes them seven-time champions of Resort League Ari Zone.
Conrad Maldives lost just one game in the run-up to the final – their league match against Barcelo Whale Lagoon. Despite that, the title defenders retained the top spot on the point table with 9 points.
Both Barcelo Whale Lagoon and Lily Beach Resort & Spa had scored 7 points; two wins, one draw and one loss each in five games. The single-legged semifinal was played between the two, and Barcelo knocked Lily Beach out with a 2-0 win.
Vilamendhoo had ended their campaign at the bottom of the table with a single point. Team Kuramathi, the sole contenders from North Ari, were also knocked out despite managing a win and a draw.
