Valencia Junior Team Banned from using FAM’s Turf Ground – Government Backs Up!

Henveiru Stadium has been given to Club Valencia Junior team’s practices by the Government of Maldives,

Valencia are restrained from using the FAM’s Turf Grounds, by the association.

Valencia’s leadership was suspended this month by the FAM’s disciplinary committee.

Valencia’s Under-16 team has already started preparing for a youth tournament in Thailand in June.

Football academies and junior teams also use the two turf pitches on the west of Maafannu Stadium, which are under the control of the FAM. The FAM has reportedly sent a letter to Valencia not to use the turf grounds.

However, the club started using the Henveiru stadium, which is under the control of the Sports Ministry.

Valencia have appealed the suspension. Although the FAM has suspended the club, the club’s current leadership is accepted by the Sports Commission.
