Mufa Resigns from FAM

Mufawiz Hashim (Mufa), who was a member of FAM President Bassam Adheel Jaleel’s EXCO during his two terms, has resigned from the association.

Mufa, who ran for the presidency in the election scheduled to be held on 31st last month, confirmed that he had resigned from the FAM exco.

FIFA has ordered the election process to be suspended and the committees to be formed again after the FAM failed to form a committee to look into the appeal filed by Ahmed Thoriq (Tom), former president of the association and Mahibadhoo MP.

The FAM has formed committees this month. Now there is a re-announcement of the election.

Bassam is expected to contest the next election. He did not give a clear answer when asked by reporters after the congress this month.
