Najaah Mohamed (Kabo), the 26-year-old surfer hailing from GDh. Gadhdhoo, has once again won at his home break; Tiger Stripes which is locally known as Kalhegalekodaa, solidifying his status as one of the best surfers in the Maldives.
In the final, Kabo won by 1.5 points against Hood Ahmed. Hood required a wave with a score of 7.24 to improve his score; however, Kabo collected 7.33 and 5.73 points for his second and fourth waves, respectively, which add up to a total score of 13.06 points.
Despite narrowly missing out on the league title last year as the runner-up, Kabo’s dominance to start this year’s tour remains firm, with this victory marking his second consecutive win at the Kalhegalekodaa event. Since the inception of the Dhivehi Surf League in 2022, Kabo has consistently proven himself in the surfing scene, reaching the final of Kalhegalekodaa every year.

Himmafushi in June, followed by the Molueekolhu Raalhugandu event at M. Muli in July/ August. As usual, the league will conclude with the highly anticipated Rannamaari Challenge in October/ November.
