The Maldives Olympic Committee has re-elected the president of the Swimming Association of Maldives, Mohamed Abdhul Sattar, as MOC’s president for the next term.

Sattar confirmed his retention as president at the electoral congress on Monday. Sattar was elected without the need for a ballot, as he was the sole candidate for MOC’s president for the EXCO’s four-year term. Fourteen different sports associations had attended the congress.

Ahmed Ismail Ahmed Munthaqim (Munthey) was also re-elected – to the position as the Vice President of MOC, having received more votes over the other three VP candidates.

The Executive Committee of MOC, which includes fourteen member associations, had also elected members for the Olympic Sports seats. They are: Cricket Board of Maldives, Tennis Association, Basketball Association, Volleyball Association, Surfing Association, and Table Tennis Association.
