Kulhivaru Vuzaara, the futsal team of the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation,  triumphs over MMA SC in the final of Club Maldives Cup Classic 2024.

A first-half hat-trick from Sajid Ahmed Ibrahim gained the momentum, with Naif Shafeeq scoring two before the half-time. Naif – who went on to win the top scorer award with 17 goals to his name – completed his hat-trick after the break. Sajid added another, his fourth goal of the game and sixteenth of the campaign before Adil sealed the 8-goal haul in the final minute

The champions made it to the final having gained confidence from a 6-goal thrashing of Team Badhahi (Ministry of Social and Family Development) in the semi-finals, while MMA SC struggled for a narrow win (2-1) against Club 220 (Prosecutor General’s Office).

Both the star players of Kulhivaru Vuzaara; Naif Shafeeq and Sajid Ahmed Ibrahim, were selected among the top 5 players of the CMC Classic 2024, along with runner-up MMA’s Mohamed Naif, Club 220’s Miurash and Asif Haneef of Team Badhahi.

Club Maldives Cup’s classic tournament, dedicated exclusively to institutions within the public sector, kicked off in the first week of September with 32 clubs. The round-robin group stage consisted of 48 games across eight groups.
